Best Swordfish A1 Loadout for Warzone (Black Ops 7, Season 4)
By TourneyTime ·
The Swordfish A1 is one of the quiet menaces of Black Ops 7 Warzone Season 4. It’s a burst marksman rifle — three clean shots from a burst and your target’s plates are gone, all the way out to ranges where most weapons start dropping off a cliff. Build it right and it rewards accuracy harder than almost anything else in the game.
Here’s the exact loadout running the meta right now, why it works, and an aggressive variant for when you want to play the gun up close.
Quick build
| Slot | Attachment |
|---|---|
| Muzzle | Monolithic Suppressor |
| Barrel | 16.5” Gar-XL Barrel |
| Rear Grip | Trevally Shock Grip |
| Stock | Amber-J Stock |
| Fire Mods | MFS Penta Burst Mod |
That’s the meta long-range build straight off the top of the tier lists. Suppressed, fast bullet velocity, locked-down recoil and a tightened burst. If you only copy one thing on this page, copy that.
Heads up: the MFS Penta Burst Mod is a Prestige unlock, so you might not have it yet. Don’t sweat it — there’s a strong non-prestige version further down.
Why this build works
Every attachment here is pulling its weight, no filler:
- Monolithic Suppressor — stays off the minimap radar and boosts bullet velocity and range. On a long-range marksman that’s non-negotiable in Warzone; you want your bursts landing instantly at distance.
- 16.5” Gar-XL Barrel — the velocity-and-range workhorse. It’s what lets the Swordfish hold its damage at the ranges where you actually want to be using it.
- Trevally Shock Grip — kills the vertical kick between burst shots so all rounds in the burst stay on chest.
- Amber-J Stock — recoil control and stability so the gun doesn’t wander mid-burst, especially when you re-fire quickly.
- MFS Penta Burst Mod — the meta enabler. It tightens and speeds up the burst so your shots arrive close together — that’s what turns “three taps” into a genuinely fast down.
The whole package is built around one idea: land an accurate burst at range and you out-damage almost everything that isn’t a sniper, with none of a sniper’s miss-and-you’re-dead punishment.
Aggressive / non-prestige variant
Haven’t unlocked the Penta Burst Mod, or want to play the gun closer and more forgiving? Run this:
| Slot | Attachment |
|---|---|
| Optic | EAM Dual Zoom (or Kepler-Pro Red Dot up close) |
| Muzzle | Monolithic Suppressor |
| Barrel | 16.5” Gar-XL Barrel |
| Magazine | VAS Samson Drum (or Dorado Extended Mag) |
| Rear Grip | Trevally Shock Grip |
Keeping the Monolithic Suppressor and Gar-XL Barrel means you don’t give up the long-range bones. Swapping in an extended mag (VAS Samson Drum / Dorado Extended Mag) gives you the bullets to chain multiple kills without reloading — clutch in Resurgence lobbies and team fights — and an optic makes target acquisition cleaner at the mid range where this gun lives. No Prestige unlock required.
How to play it
The Swordfish A1 is a discipline weapon. Treat it right and it’s brutal:
- Pick your range. It’s strongest mid-to-long. Hold a lane, an angle, a window — somewhere you can land bursts before the enemy closes the gap.
- Aim, don’t spray. It’s burst-fire, not full-auto. Settle your aim on the chest and pull each burst deliberately. Panic-firing throws shots and wastes the gun’s whole identity.
- Carry a close-range secondary. This is the big one — pair the Swordfish with an SMG or a strong AR for when fights collapse to sub-15m. Let the Swordfish dominate the open and let your secondary clean up the rush.
- Stay suppressed and reposition. The Monolithic Suppressor keeps you off the radar; use it. Fire, move, re-angle. Don’t sit and let a team triangulate you.
