FJX Horus Best Warzone Loadout (Season 4)

The FJX Horus has been a Warzone close-range monster for a while now, and it’s still earning its keep in Season 4. Fast TTK, brutal up close, and a delight in Resurgence — if you can tame its recoil it’ll out-gun almost anything in a room. This is the build we’re running, why it works, and how to play it.

That’s the close-range meta setup: maximum control, full mobility, and a mag that won’t run dry mid-fight.
Why this build works
The Horus does one thing better than almost any SMG in the game — it deletes people up close. The catch is the recoil, which throws hard to the side and will drag your shots off a head if you let it.
So every attachment here is earning its slot:
- ZEHMN35 Compensated Flash Hider — the single most important piece. It tames the horizontal kick and hides your muzzle flash so you’re not lighting yourself up across a building.
- SYN9 Long Barrel — adds the range and bullet velocity the Horus desperately needs, pushing its lethal window out without killing the handling.
- Modus 30 Stock — sprint speed and tac-sprint speed. This is a run-and-gun weapon and you want to be the one taking the angle, not eating it.
- 60 Round Drum — non-negotiable in Warzone. Doubles your capacity so you can win a 1v2 or a third-party without a reload getting you killed.
- JAK Glassless Optic — the Horus iron sights can swallow your view at the worst possible moment. A clean glassless sight picture fixes it.
The result is an SMG that keeps its insane close-range TTK but is actually controllable — which is the whole game with this gun.
Aggressive / velocity variant
Prefer to stretch the Horus a little further and lean into pure speed? Swap to this. It trades a touch of the flat recoil control for more bullet velocity and a crisper optic — strong in Resurgence and for tight, high-tempo BR pushes.

The Martis Heavy Barrel plus 9mm High Grain Rounds push range and velocity so your shots register at the edge of the Horus envelope, and the Nydar Model 2023 gives you a cleaner dot for snappier head-level aim. Keep the 60 Round Drum and Modus 30 Stock — those two are constants on every good Horus build.
How to play the FJX Horus
- Pick your range. The Horus is a knife in a phone box and a butter knife at distance. Get inside buildings, hold tight angles, and never try to win a long lane with it — that’s what your AR or sniper is for.
- Burst at the edges. When you’re toward the limit of its range, tap rather than hold. The horizontal recoil walks your shots wide if you spray, so short bursts keep rounds on the chest.
- Lead with movement. Slide-cancel into rooms, use the Modus 30 sprint speed to take the off-angle, and catch people mid-rotation. The gun rewards aggression — half-committing gets you killed.
- Pair it right. Run a long-range partner (a controllable AR or a sniper) so you’re covered the second a fight opens up. The Horus is your finisher, not your everything.

This loadout is current for Warzone Season 4 in the Black Ops 7 era, checked 22 June 2026 against live meta data. The FJX Horus is an MW3-platform SMG that’s carried into the Season 4 meta as a top close-range option. New Black Ops 7 SMGs (the Carbon 57 and CBRS-3 among them) are pushing for the #1 SMG crown, so we’ll keep this updated as the meta shifts — but right now the Horus still slaps.
