Best Kar98k Loadout — Warzone Season 4 (Black Ops 7) — Tourney Time Network

The Kar98k is back, and it’s still the rifle that rewards mechanics. Fastest ADS of any marksman in Warzone, a clean one-shot headshot, and just enough range to bully snipers in a repositioning duel. Since its return at the start of Season 4 it’s been one of the most popular marksman picks in the game. Here’s exactly how to build it for Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 4.

Best Kar98k Loadout — Quick Build

This is the meta max-range setup. Plug it straight in if you just want the answer.

Why This Build Works

The Kar98k lives and dies on two numbers: how far it can one-shot, and how fast it gets to the shot. This loadout maxes both.

  • Präzisionsgewehr 762 Long Barrel — the single most important attachment. It pushes bullet velocity and extends your effective damage range, which is what keeps the one-shot headshot alive at distance.
  • 7.92 High Grain Rounds — more velocity and range on top of the barrel. Together with the barrel this is the core that turns the Kar98k from “good up close” into “lethal across a roof gap.”
  • VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor — keeps you off the minimap when you fire and adds velocity and range. On an aggressive marksman, staying off the radar between shots is half the value.
  • DR-6 Handstop — pure handling. Faster ADS and sprint-to-fire so you can swing a corner, peek, and fire before they’ve finished centring on you.
  • XTEN Intlas AS-7 — a clean, high-clarity optic with the magnification to confirm long mid-range shots without losing the scope picture.

The trade you’re making: this is a precision tool, not a panic button. There’s no recoil-control or mag attachment here because the Kar98k’s job is one clean shot, then reposition.

Aggressive / Quickscope Variant

Playing Rebirth, Resurgence, or just want to push and flick? Drop the long-range emphasis for raw centring speed.

MuzzleSonic Suppressor L

LaserSL Razorhawk Laser Light
Ammunition7.92 High Grain Rounds

Keep the barrel and ammo — that’s still the lethality core. The SL Razorhawk Laser and Sonic Suppressor L sharpen ADS and aiming idle sway so quickscopes snap to centre. The lower-zoom optic makes close-range flicks far more forgiving. You sacrifice a little velocity at extreme range, which is a non-issue on small Resurgence maps.

Class, Perks & Equipment

The Kar98k is a primary, but it shines brightest as the sniper-support half of an aggressive loadout — pair it with a fast-handling SMG or AR for when you’re inside its minimum range.

  • Tactical: Stim — re-peek, heal mid-duel, and chain aggressive pushes without committing to a plate.
  • Lethal: Semtex or Frag to finish a downed-but-crawling target you’ve cracked from range.
  • Perks/equipment: prioritise movement and refresh — anything that speeds up your reposition keeps you alive between bolts. The Kar98k punishes you for standing still after you fire.

How to Play the Kar98k

  • Headshots or nothing. Body shots won’t down a full-health enemy. If you’re not confident in your aim, this isn’t your weapon — pick the head, every time.
  • Shoot and move. One shot, then immediately break the angle. The suppressor hides the first shot; your movement hides the second peek.
  • Own mid-range. Your edge over heavy snipers is ADS speed. Don’t try to out-range a MORS down a long lane — challenge it from a flank where your faster scope-in wins the duel.
  • Pre-aim, then peek. Centre your optic on where the head will be before you swing the corner. The Kar98k rewards the player who’s already aimed.
  • Crack and reposition. If you don’t get the headshot, you’ve still cracked their plates from range — push the advantage with your secondary or reposition for the follow-up.

Current for Black Ops 7 / Warzone Season 4 (June 2026)

This build is current for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 4, verified 22 June 2026. The Kar98k returned with the Season 4 launch (4 June 2026) and has been a popular, high-impact marksman pick ever since. Season 4 Reloaded is due on 25 June 2026, and returning fan-favourites are frequent targets for mid-season balancing — so once it lands, check the patch notes for any Kar98k tuning. We refresh our loadouts every time the meta shifts, so check back after each major patch.
