The Best FFAR 1 Loadout in Warzone (Season 4) — Tourney Time Network

The FFAR 1 is back, and it’s exactly as nasty as you remember. After the Season 4 balance pass, this returning Black Ops 6 assault rifle has muscled its way back into the Warzone meta — and it’s earned it. One of the best first-range TTKs of any AR, almost no recoil once it’s built, and enough mobility to swing a close-range fight like an SMG. If you played Warzone in 2021, you already know the feeling. We’ve dialled in the current version below.

The Best FFAR 1 Loadout

This is the build the stat sites and pros are converging on for Season 4. Plug it straight in:

SlotAttachment
OpticVolzhskiy Reflex
MuzzleCompensator
BarrelReinforced Barrel
UnderbarrelG-Grip
MagazineExtended Mag II

That’s the whole package — a clean sight picture, flattened recoil, extended damage range and a mag deep enough to wipe a squad without touching reload.

Why This Build Works

The FFAR 1’s only real weakness has always been the same two things: it kicks, and it drinks ammo. This build neutralises both.

  • Compensator + Reinforced Barrel is the recoil-control core. The Compensator tames the muzzle climb that used to make the FFAR a handful past 30m, and the Reinforced Barrel stretches the damage range so your bullets keep hitting hard at the distances Warzone fights actually happen.
  • G-Grip smooths horizontal recoil and tightens the hipfire-to-ADS transition — it’s the part that turns the FFAR from “spicy but inconsistent” into a laser you can trust under pressure.
  • Extended Mag II is non-negotiable. The FFAR’s fire rate burns rounds fast; a deeper mag means you finish the second and third players of a squad instead of staring at an empty gun.
  • Volzhskiy Reflex is the cleanest, most popular optic on the gun — no clutter, fast target acquisition, dead centre.

The result is an AR that out-damages most of the field inside 40m while staying controllable enough for any skill level.

Class Setup & Perks

The FFAR 1 lives and dies as a sniper-support weapon. Run Overkill, slap on a one-shot sniper for long range, and let the FFAR own everything else:

  • Wildcard: Overkill
  • Secondary: A one-shot sniper (the HDR is the go-to pairing)
  • Perks: Survivor, Tracker, Ghost
  • Lethal: Throwing Knife
  • Tactical: Smoke Grenade

Ghost keeps you off UAVs while you reposition, Tracker helps you finish downed players’ squads, and the smoke gives you a free reset or revive when a fight turns. Simple, deadly, proven.

Aggressive / Resurgence Variant

Playing Rebirth or Resurgence and want to push every fight? Trade a touch of range control for snappier handling. Swap the optic to the Kepler Microflex and drop to Extended Mag I to keep the gun light and fast in the hands:

This version handles closer to an SMG and rewards aggressive entries into buildings, while still hammering at first range. Keep the Compensator, Reinforced Barrel and G-Grip — that recoil-control trio is the heart of the gun no matter how you play it.

How To Play It

  • Win at range one. The FFAR’s edge is its first-range TTK. Pick fights inside 40m where you out-damage almost everything, and let your sniper handle anything further out.
  • Burst, don’t hold. Even built, the recoil creeps over a long spray and the mag empties quickly. Short, controlled bursts at distance keep every bullet on the chest.
  • Pre-aim chokes. With the Volzhskiy Reflex up, you’ve got a clean sight picture — hold angles and let people walk into your first shot.
  • Use mobility as defence. Decent move speed means you can slide-cancel and reposition mid-fight. Don’t stand and trade; make them chase a moving target.
  • Reload smart. Extended Mag II covers a squad wipe, but tap reload the second a fight ends — never get caught topping up mid-engagement.

Current for Black Ops 7 / Warzone Season 4 (June 2026)

This guide is current for Warzone Season 4, live alongside Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 (Season 4 launched 4 June 2026). The FFAR 1 is a returning Black Ops 6 weapon that transfers into Warzone and is firmly in the Season 4 sniper-support meta. We re-check builds every season — if the next balance patch shifts the gun, we’ll update this page.
